A borlotti bean stew with bread, kale crisps and in-season chunky asparagus.

I had a couple of THIS bangers with it, and they were okay but too salty for me (very like a meat sausage). I'll stick to Linda's.

I find that they are the tasties together with Sainsbury's caramelised onion bangers. I'm not keen on LM's bangers.

I can see why people feel that way about THIS & Linda's in both directions—it's almost an apples and oranges thing.

THIS are premium quality and make a successful attempt to resemble meat bangers. Bonus points for me as they are pea protein (lots of soy doesn't agree with me). The taste though is just a bit too much of everything - too much umami, too much pepper, too much salt, too much caramelised onion. It's all I can taste, and the thought of combining it with another strong flavour like ketchup or HP would really blow the top off (and give me acid!).

Linda's original have barely changed for decades - they're the same tube shaped protein things as ever. There's no pretence at being a 'proper' sausage. They have IMO a great taste and texture and not overpowering so can be used in a lot of ways. They're like TVP++ in my book.

I find that they are just perfection. Just the right amount of seasoning and the texture is perfect.

I absolutely loathe ketchup and HP sauce. They both spoil good food imo.o_O

I've realised I bought the caramelised onion THIS. My experience tallied with a few reviews saying they couldn't stand the smell (though most were still positive). I binned the last 2 bangers and actually had to change the bin bag half full because they were stinking the kitchen out!

I can imagine the plain version being far better.

I had ramen noodles and added in peas, carrots and spinach. Pretty tasty for a quick meal. I wasn't in the mood to cook because it was after 7 p.m. when I got home from errands and doing some work at the beach house.
