I'm going to have rigatoni with courgettes and asparagus tonight.
I had a Boca chik'n patty on a roll with lettuce, red onions, pesto, buffalo sauce and vegan cheese, plus some leftover potato wedges.
A borlotti bean stew with bread, kale crisps and in-season chunky asparagus.
I had a couple of THIS bangers with it, and they were okay but too salty for me (very like a meat sausage). I'll stick to Linda's.
They are my favorite of the vegan chik'n patties.I really like Boca burgers.
I can see why people feel that way about THIS & Linda's in both directions—it's almost an apples and oranges thing.I find that they are the tasties together with Sainsbury's caramelised onion bangers. I'm not keen on LM's bangers.
THIS are premium quality and make a successful attempt to resemble meat bangers. Bonus points for me as they are pea protein (lots of soy doesn't agree with me). The taste though is just a bit too much of everything - too much umami, too much pepper, too much salt, too much caramelised onion. It's all I can taste, and the thought of combining it with another strong flavour like ketchup or HP would really blow the top off (and give me acid!).
