Hi!

I am a newbie. I am still learning to read the labels and it's sometimes hard because it takes a lot of time when shopping. I find myself picking up items, reading and Googling terminologies on my phone constantly but I am getting there, perseverance!

I just want to know from experienced vegans who have got the hang of understanding ingredients to perhaps share with me tips of how I can learn faster? If possible.

If there's a food dictionary for vegans that can help to broaden my knowledge in understanding what some ingredients mean or websites that can help me learn reading labels (what signs/symbols to look out for etc.) then please do link them below!

Thanks in advance,
Ush (from U.K, England)

You will find that most supermarkets and products highlight possible allergens in bold print in the ingredients list. Also many supermarkets use their own 'V' logo system so watch out for that too.

These are the vegan logos in use in the UK:

I never noticed that they were black and white. That's really helpful, as I have to keep using my reading glasses when I'm shopping.
