Supper/Dinner Time! What's on the menu ?

Spaghetti bolognaise made with black lentils (from Hodmedodd), topped with nooch and served with asparagus.

Despite looking blacker than a Raven's petticoat when dry, the lentils cooked out to look more or less like regular Puy lentils. They tasted nice enough, but I was reminded of the disappointment I felt when buying some special red speckled beans to find them cook out to a uniform brown.

Leek & soya curl buckwheat risotto with a sprinkle of yeast flakes, grated Violife Prosociano, smoked Cornish sea salt
plus a drizzle of evo/smoked chipotle flakes.

Paper thin sliced fennel marinated in evo/lemon juice plus a sprinkle of smoked Cornish sea salt.

Strawberries plus a few squares of mint filled plain chocolate.

was shopping yesterday and picked up a huge fresh pumpernickel bread so we lazied out and chunked half of it and then cut each chunk in half and on some we spread miso and on others we did peanut butter and jam - lol - so random (it was all my honey's idea) and yet so tasty - a small bowl of popcorn and then some nuts/dk chocolate for dessert - also, almost forget, when shopping yesterday the only oranges available were from the USA and those I do not buy (no offence to anyone other than the Orange Jerk) but they had bags of mandarin oranges from Morocco for just $3 so I bought 2 and had two for dessert - they are amazingly tasty and sweet

You need to open a restaurant! :)

I had colcannon made with cabbage and spinach, steamed carrots and a Beyond burger (no bun) topped with mustard.

the other half of the pumpernickel bread was consumed last night - I made a white kidney bean/pinto bean dip with onion/jalapeno/spices and layered it on top of the pumpernickel and ate some of the rest of the bean dip with blue corn tortilla chips - mandarin for dessert

I made a deconstructed 'egg roll' with onions, tofu, and a bag of cabbage slaw. I first opened and pressed Aldi Xtra firm tofu, then realized I needed more so opened the Costco Xtra firm. Aldi is creamy and still soft, but Costcos was suuuper firm! Seemed like it was vacuum packed! I was eating the Aldi one which was why I needed more, but would not want to just eat the Costco one.
I'm gonna marinate and bread slabs of Costco tofu and saute them. Definitely prefer Aldi, but they're very different
I want dessert so badly!
