Supper/Dinner Time! What's on the menu ?

Today I tried a new [to me] marinade for tofu: poultry spices mix, plus ginger, dijon, apple cider vin, olive oil, maggi, maple syrup, and lesser amounts of liquid smoke, garlic powder and BBQ spices. I think next time I will also add lemon.

I grilled the tofu in cubes, and also bell pepper and zucchini, and served on rice with kale.

Nope, although I Only buy Organic rice and lentils so I don’t worry much about it… I do try to look for stones before cooking the lentils…
Years ago I actually broke a tooth on a stone that was in a tin of lentils!
Actually, I recently had a conversation with my dentist about chipped teeth, and we blamed nuts more than anything.
Now that I think about it, I would not be surprised if a few impurities in rice, lentils, beans, etc. may have caused me a bit of damage. Like others here have said, these things sit in warehouses, are shipped across the world, etc.
I too buy organic, but may begin paying more attention to washing.

perogies and apple sage sausage with sauted onion/jalapeno - the perogies were sauerkraut and I also put some sauerkraut on the side - it was all delicious as I mixed a bit of Korean BBQ sauce in with the veggies/sliced sausage before adding the perogies

Last night I had spaghetti with olive oil and garlic, sautéed kale, black olives and the last of the vegan pepperoni topped with some vegan Parm. I've been keeping the kale in the freezer, as it lasts longer and thaws pretty quickly.

I put my fresh kale in the fridge in the plastic bag with two pieces of paper towel on each side to wick the moisture away - the bag is open at the end with the ends of the paper towel sticking out. I hadn't thought of freezing it (although I do keep frozen bought kale).

Last night I had my noodley soup with cabbage and kale and soy curls and other veggies - so nice to have it for dinner instead of lunch.

I have tried that method, but sometimes I can't eat it fast enough, as it's just me. I need to focus on one or two greens a week, rather than having a big variety of things that can go bad, lol. I actually stick the fresh bag in the freezer, and once I open it, I put it in a Zip Loc bag.

I'm not sure what I'm having for dinner tonight. I'm considering Cheap Lazy Vegan's sushi rectangles or maybe buffalo soy curls with pesto pasta and a kale salad.

I carefully go over the beans or rice I buy from the bulk section of my health food store before I rinse and soak them, picking out any such things. Oddly, I can't remember having such problems when I've bought oats or rice in bulk, although I do look through the rice before I cook it. I eat my oats uncooked; any hard, tooth-damaging inedible bits would be easy for me to see as I'm putting about a cupful into the bowl.
