Supper/Dinner Time! What's on the menu ?

Last night I had a black bean burger on a bun with onions, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes and mustard on a sesame seed bun along with some baked potato wedges. Not sure what is on tap for tonight.

@Emma JC Hmmm... Fennel seed tastes like anise, IIRC... combining that with raisins, cayenne, garlic, and turmeric would be interesting, especially topped with Indian food. Have you made that before?... and how was it?

we tend to add fennel seeds to many things - including smeat that we use for tacos or nachos or burritos - it works well in the rice and it is so nice to find one and chew on it - I have been also adding to coffee sometimes or just chewing on one or two for fun...

last night we had red potatoes/halved and baked upside down in the oven and a Yves chkn burger on the side - mushroom gravy on the potatoes - one medjool date, one brazil nut and 4 almonds for dessert

It's concentrated stock in a jar. Very expensive.
Yep. I picked up a few on sale for under $4. It really is my favorite and even at regular price (which varies where sold) I find it's the same or less as other veg chik'n or beef Boullion. I mostly just mix up nooch and herbs--and Vegeta for saltiness!
 
I cooked a big batch of Fava beans to be used in various things, the first of which was Fuls Medames tonight.

For the uninitiated, it can be summed up as Persian mushy peas with bread ÷)

we had spaghettini and vegballs last night - used Ikea veggie balls, for the first time, and that worked although they were very soft - also added about 1/4 of a Gusta pizzaroni log that I had left, cut up into small pieces - it was very good and filling - no room for dessert and still not hungry

Yesterday I made Italian seitan sausages and spaghetti, 'cause I like it when the sauce sinks in. The sausages were perfect-sundried tomatoes and their oil, garlic, and a couple Tblsp instant potatoes for best texture
 
I had a very long and somewhat stressful day yesterday. I did a full 6 hour de-stringing session with 3 newbies. Nothing hardly to eat or drink and the weather was slightly chilly when I got back.

A pureed courgette/onion and pea soup with evo and yeast flakes.
A reheated turnover.
Cashew camevert style cheeze.
Strawberry and banana fruit salad.
 
it was leftover night for us - smeat, garlicky buttery pasta, on a toasted hot dog bun with some cheez shreds, all piled up - quite the meal, tasty and very different - dk chocolate and nuts for dessert

Mac 'n' cheese with kale crisps and fried tempeh bits.

The sauce was gram flour + carrot blitzed up, plus the usual spices and some Cathedral City PB cheddar grated in. I wouldn't normally use a cheese sub, but this is by far the best vegan cheese I've used yet and it passes all the tests for me.
