Supper/Dinner Time! What's on the menu ?

I made five batches of pesto today and had pesto pasta with tomato-basil salad on top. I also cut up a vegan chik’n patty for some protein and mixed it in with the pasta. I then had a small glass of homemade limoncello as an after-dinner treat.
Hmm, I’ll have to cook some decent pasta instead of just WM noodles…

I will be having buffalo soy curls on top of a salad with homemade Italian dressing on the salad.

it was capellini and Yves meatballs last night - way too much food, as usual - in the sauce I put onion, garlic, chili peppers, yellow zucchini, olives, fresh basil - 1/4 whole grain baguette cut into thin slices on the side

Now I could definitely make up a sauce like that, yum.

leftover pea soup that my honey made last week with a side of grilled cheez sandwiches (unfortunately I left him in charge of the grilled cheez and he burned it on one side, still tasty) and a few Indian not-cheez snacks for dessert

Veggie pot pie, but I'm debating whether to put in soy curls, though the pie is delicious just with the veggies. We'll see. :D

I really fancied roast potatoes after having them at the weekend so I had a "chicken" burger with roast potatoes and garden peas.

last night we had small soft w/w taco/wraps and I opened a can of pinto beans and mashed them in the pan, added the partial can of black beans from lunch, added salsa, cumin, garlic powder and then chopped cilantro and put into a small bowl along with small bowls of olives, cheez shreds, salsa and put it all together as we ate it - very tasty
(Your post only partially quoted- emphasis mine) I can delete this question and start another thread, if anyone wishes- but... what does cilantro taste like to those of you who like it? It tastes like soap to me. I've substituted fresh parsley along with lime or lemon juice in recipes because I know I won't like the cilantro- and I have liked that substitution- but I'd like to know if anything else would make the dish taste right to me. I know coriander leaf is another name for cilantro. I've heard cilantro's taste described as "fresh", "pungent", and "citrusy" (which is why I was inspired to substitute lemon or lime juice).

I dunno... maybe some folks like the soapy taste?...

cilantro tastes fine to me - we had some last night and forgot to put it on the dish so ate it separately and both enjoyed it

it was supposed to go on our chick pea curry dish which I made (lazily) by adding a can of chick peas to one of our favourite Indian quick meals. On the side we had a cucumber, tomato salad

^Cilantro/coriander tastes like soap to me after having Covid. It didn't use to as it tasted different. I don't like Brussels either now.
I can understand that, but is there an opposite effect as well?

Yeah, are there foods that you now like, but didn’t like before COVID?

Oh I see. Hmm. I haven't noticed it the other way. I just seem to find that a few foods taste different to me now.
