In the context that an anti occupation movement (Hamas/French Resistance/Ira) can't exist in a country (Palestine/France/Ireland) that isn't occupied (by Israel/Germany/Britain), I did. Yes.

Well if you don't consider Arabs to be people then the only Semites are the Jews.
There is an evidence trail that Arabs, Palestinian Arabs at least, aren't actualy considered to be people anymore.
That evidence trail being partly that land theft and atrocities against Arabs, Palestinian Arabs at least, cannot (apparently) be compared to land theft and atrocities against REAL people like the Irish and the French.
Arabs, Palestinian Arabs at least, appear to have become the 21st centuries Blacks.

Just reading that the body count has reached 1,000 Palestinians in this "operation". But you know, as the saying goes:

I would think higher than that. I've heard estimates in the news claiming between 16 and 25% of the casualties are militants. Obviously, on some level they are trying to avoid civilian casualties, but heavy civilian casualties are nonetheless unavoidably the result with a military operation of this scale in a densely populated area such as the Gaza strip, which is one of the reasons this operation should never have been given the go-ahead.

Yes, the militants should not have bombed Israel.
But this does not justify anything Israel has done in terms of just straight-up killing civilians. This has gone far beyond simple retaliation.

A far more accurate comparison would be this:
1. The Russians and Chinese steal Texas on behalf of Al-Qaeda, ethnicaly cleanse it of Texans and declare it to be a new Islamist country in it's own right.
2. The Al-Qaedans then systematicaly use any American attempts to get Texas back as an excuse to ethnicaly cleanse and occupy neighbouring USA territories.
Q. Would Americans begin lobbing missiles into Al-Qaeda occupied Texas?

I'd accept that not 100% of Palestinians would meet the strictest definition of 'militants', IS.
I'd be rather surprised, though, if 100% of Palestinians didn't have more of a militant than an "I don't know what all the fuss is about .." attitude.
I'd think at least 90% of the civilian deaths are intentional. Similar to the misery England caused to the people of India along with agent orange, killing 100,000 people in Tokyo in one day, and the many, many other actions the United States government has done to civilians across the world it rarely happens by accident.
Considering 0 Israeli civilians had died prior to them attacking Gaza they've gone far overboard.

Sure, and they absolutely should! Lobbing missiles puts peoples' lives in danger. So they should seek out whatever militant group did it and bring them to justice.
The way to do that is not by bombing huge numbers of civilians at random and destroying their homes under the guise of bringing about justice, simply because we don't like Mexican people or have some grudge about the ownership of land.

More than 1300 Palestinians have now been killed in Gaza since Israel began the operation against Gaza.
6 UN schools have been attacked. Yesterday morning the UN school in the refugee camp Jabalaya was attacked. 15 were killed, 90 injured:

It's sickening that the US and indeed other supposedly civilized nations support this.
