The Halloween Thread

Enjoy the concert, @PTree15 !! I don't think I'm familiar with their music, bur I might have heard it from somebody's Boom Box or on the radio.
Thank you, Tom! Oh, and I'm going to see them a fourth time on this tour (three were already planned). My mom somehow got comped two tickets for a show at Mohegan Sun casino. That's only an hour from my house. So my sis and I will see them twice together. :) Happy, happy.

Tool is definitely rock, and some have said the band has a proggish bent. On some songs I can see that.

I had to YouTube Tool. A little too "heavy" for this old bird lol. But then I wasn't into it much even in my younger days. The videos are cool though! I imagine seeing/hearing them in concert must be great.

I love their videos! I like heavy and not so heavy, too, but Tool is in my top 10 favorite bands. :)

@PTree15 I generally like progressive rock (Yes, for example)- and hard rock too, so long as it doesn't get into lyrics about suicide, drug use, or similarly destructive stuff. When I'm in the mood for it, I can listen to something like "Cold Turkey" by John Lennon or "In My Time Of Dying" by Led Zeppelin (I just googled that- and it seems Led Zeppelin might have plagiarized a similar song by Bob Dylan... unless it is an old song in the public domain, and they only took credit for their version of it?...) Anyhow, those songs don't celebrate death or drug use- they just depict someone trying their best to deal with them.

Oops- I almost forgot this is the Halloween thread. We could discuss some of Alice Cooper's music...

I'll have to listen to some Tool on YouTube.

Yes and Led Zeppelin were my favorite bands when I was a teenager. Zeppelin was often accused of stealing or using other's music, but I did/do enjoy their versions of other's material. :D

Yes was my first proper rock concert. Saw them in the round in 1978 during the Tormato tour. I never got into the Trevor Rabin years of Yes. Jon Anderson will always be my favorite Yes frontman.

Re: Tool on Halloween. I'm thinking Maynard James Keenan might have an even wackier getup for Halloween. :D I feel bad that I won't be home to give out candy, but I typically don't get a lot of kids anyway.

Brighton has been renamed to “Frighton” and Crawley has become “Creepy Crawley” on departure boards.

Passengers travelling with Southern Rail and Thameslink can also take a trip to “Chillingshurst”, replacing Billingshurst on signage today.

The temporary changes are in place all day to celebrate the spooky season and create fun engagement for passengers.

There are a bunch of recipes for this but this one is the best because the mummy dogs have eyes.

I'll be in Minneapolis with my friends for a Tool concert on Halloween. :)
Guess who was at the casino on Friday for a Tool Concert!!!

Not me. 😂

My grandson with his dad. 😁

I was so proud when my daughter mentioned it...I knew who they were since I had YouTubed it after you posted about them, haha.

Haha, that's awesome!

My mom ended up getting comped two tickets for Tool at Mohegan Sun, so my sister and I went to the Saturday night show. A great bonus, and the seats were fantastic. I hope your grandson and his dad enjoyed their show!

They did! My SIL's father bought them two tickets.

That's a nice comp item!
