Health Issues Sleep problems

I should be able to fall back to sleep soon and get another hour or two in. This seems to be the pattern.

Definitely in a bad cycle right now, going on about a week now with having wakeful periods in the middle of the night, between 2-3 hours. My body is feeling the strain now, too. :sigh:

I'm involved in an experiment.

After learning about, what is it called - Diurnal sleep patterns - I've ditched almost every rule I made about sleeping .
Instead of going to bed at the same time every night, I now go to bed as soon as I feel sleepy. And if I find myself awake for longer than 30 minutes in the middle of the night, I get out of bed. Depending on things I might go back to bed later or try and take a nap later.
the first week of my experiment, according to Apple Health I was getting less sleep each night. But now I think I'm getting more.

Not really a sleep problem. More of a pain problem keeping me from sleeping. I debated putting it in the gripe thread. But my lower back is keeping me awake. I took some Tylenol so hopefully it kicks in enough where I can fall back to sleep. Of course picking up my phone was not a good idea. Luckily it's quiet in here right now so not too much of a distraction lol.

Resurrecting this thread...sadly. I'm in a bad cycle of not being able to sleep. Tonight is the worst in the last five days. I fell asleep around 9 and woke at 10:30. I think my body thinks it was a nap because I'm wide awake. I'm tired but not sleepy. 😢

I have a link to listening to stories that are completely boring and put you to sleep, it works...

Nothing Much Happens Podcast — Nothing Much Happens - you don't have to pay or be part of an official podcast

this is one of my favourites - The Garden Center (The Left-Handed Snail) | Cozy Sleep Story — Nothing Much Happens

along with S12:E18 Fall Foraging — Nothing Much Happens

I hope it helps a little.

Thank you...I will check them out. I usually put on my soundscapes or I re-listen to one of my audiobooks that are not particularly interesting. Nothing seems to be helping lately. I know it will pass...it always does. It's just frustrating when it's happening.
