That's pretty good. I like the idea of casting veganism as caring about the experience of others. I've said here before I think of veganism as about fairness and justice; I think compassion is integral to that idea. I would distingusih the two concepts this way: compassion is an empathic response to the suffering of others, seeking to treat others fairly and justly is how we can direct our empathy into action.Colleen just posted something that I think really helps this discussion. Maybe it's a paradigm shift - or a different lens. but I totally agree with this point of view.
However we want to define it, I believe that veganism needs urgent reformation to remain relevant.
