What kind of veganism is this forum based on?

Colleen just posted something that I think really helps this discussion. Maybe it's a paradigm shift - or a different lens. but I totally agree with this point of view.
That's pretty good. I like the idea of casting veganism as caring about the experience of others. I've said here before I think of veganism as about fairness and justice; I think compassion is integral to that idea. I would distingusih the two concepts this way: compassion is an empathic response to the suffering of others, seeking to treat others fairly and justly is how we can direct our empathy into action.

However we want to define it, I believe that veganism needs urgent reformation to remain relevant.
