Love it or loathe it the moment is almost here when the clocks go back by one hour in the UK and also in Europe.

It happens in the early hours of Sunday 26 October and marks the end of British Summer Time (BST) and a return to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

just a reminder that North America differs from the UK in that our time fall back happens on November 2nd not October 26 (after Hallowe'en)

it would be nice not to have to do this every year, especially when it is different in different countries and even different within provinces, here in Canada

I was aware of that as I have family and friends in North America so have to be careful of the time difference. That's the reason why I put it under the UK heading as not to confuse members.👍

I love it. It is annoying having to switch twice a year but I feel like half of us would be miserable if they stayed in DST time year round and the other half would hate it if we stayed in Standard time, which is what I prefer. So I feel like changing is a good compromise.

Isn't the justification for it now that it helps the economy?

I find it an unnecessary kerfuffle, but at least phones and other modern tech usually does it automatically now.

Thanks for the reminder!

I'm already going into hibernation mode. I fell asleep at 9pm the past two nights. This is why I bought a treadmill to make sure I get steps in even if it is bad weather and dark outside.
