Music What are you listening to now?

50th anniversary of American Beauty.

Grateful_Dead_-_American_Beauty.jpg

Album was re-released. I bought this when it was new - I guess I was 15.
I bought the special edition iTunes version 10 years ago. I guess that was the 40th-anniversary edition. I'm going to play it tonight.

You talk about your revolution, well, that's fine
But what are you going to be doing come the time?
Are you going to be the big man with the tommy-gun?
Will you talk of freedom when the blood begins to run?
Well, freedom has no value if violence is the price
Don't want your revolution, I want anarchy and peace

Taylor Swift - Folklore. It isn't the type of music I like as I usually like rock but I thought it was pretty decent. I read it got good critical reviews.

I've never heard any of her other albums. I just like her song Shake it Off.

A little more Dreams. a little more Elise. And some Jack, too.
I'm happy.

But come on guys. California is in Lockdown. I know Elise lives in San Diego and Jack lives in Oakland. so what are all you guys doing in someone's basement?

Well, at least the brass section is practicing good social distancing.

That's my fav!
Although Dreams was my favorite Stevie Nicks song-never cared for her

I had seen a live looping performance (live) years ago and then when exploring the art I discovered Elise.
I think over the years I've posted a number of her videos.
It's fun seeing her teamed up with Scary Pockets - another band I discovered on YouTube.

Shocking Blue - Venus
This song played during one of the funnest and saddest scenes in The Queens Gambit.
I'm not sure if I knew or just forgot that these guys did this song before Bananarama.
