TV & Film The TV Room

I just finished watching the entire series of Battlestar Galactica (2004).... WTF? Did the writers just suddenly give up in the end?

I never understood the popularity of this show. I've tried watching it but it puts me to sleep.:p

I used to really like House Hunters International. Not the ones where rich people buy vacation homes in the Bahamas or wherever, but the ones where people in, say, Italy or Israel are shopping for a primary residence. I liked seeing what is normal in other countries.

I've been trying to catch up with Breaking Bad.

I think I've only seen the regular episodes where the rich people buy vacation homes. Your description of the international version of the show does sound way more entertaining and interesting.

New show with Terry whatshisname is called 666 something. :p

Fortunately I caught wind of Grimm premiering early before it actually did. NBC started airing new episodes right after the Olympics ended. In a couple of weeks (Sept 28), new episodes will move back to Fridays. I've been watching the new episodes and they're pretty good. I was worried about the Sophomore Slump, but that seems to be absent here. :)

I just hope they answer soon the burning question I've been asking myself since the middle of season one: Who - or what - is Capt. Renard?

Even though the new season of How I Met Your Mother is just returning in two weeks, the writers are already talking about a Season 9! I want to know how this show ends and I want it to end after that. I'm so sick of being of the storylines dragging out. Just announce who the damn mother is already!!!:bang:

This is interesting. Tv shows that are ending this season: http://tv.msn.com/fall-tv-guide/sho...n-the-2012-2013-season/photo-gallery/feature/

I'm glad The Office is on there. I'm surprised Breaking Bad is though. I've never watched it but I hear everyone raving about it.

I almost totally lost interest in The Office after the third season. I bought the DVD's for the first three, and looking back I wish I hadn't. Oh well, I got them on a Black Friday sale, so not too bad, I guess.

I just caught up with watching Breaking Bad. Now the wait until the second half of the final season.

Need to get caught up on Mad Men.

Sons of Anarchy - just watched episode 2 of season 5 last night.
Hell on Wheels - need to catch up and watch the latest episode from Sunday.
Boardwalk Empire - need to catch up and watch the season 3 premiere.

I think Grey's Anatomy is starting back soon, as is Castle.

1. Saw that the pilot episode of "Revolution" on NBC won its time slot on Monday.
2. Missed the pilot.
3. Noticed that NBC was repeating the pilot on Wednesday.
4. Decided to watch it and see what all the fuss was about.
5. Fell asleep while waiting for the repeat to air at 10 pm
6. Missed the first 1/2 hour
7. Decided to watch the second half hour.
8. Turned it off after 10 minutes because:
A. Didn't know what was going on and who the characters were because I'd missed the first half hour.
B. Dialogue and acting were REALLY bad.
9. Was thinking I might try to find it on Video on Demand to see the first half hour, now I'm not so sure I want to.
10. Was thinking, millions of people watched THIS drek?

I know I want to know! I started watching it a few years back, I was ill and up all night and it was on back to back (season 1 or 2 i think) and I was hooked needed to know so kept watching....7 seasons later.
I hated the episodes with Stella though...Sarah Chalke does my nut in...grrrrrrr

Did any of you Brits watch Food Hospital last night?(Its basically a show where people who cant seem to get help from pills and potions try and relieve their medical complaints with the power of diet and food)
I was sighing every 5minutes. First there was a kid who had eczema which turned out was an allergy to cows milk. The parents changed his diet to exclude milk and he was dairy free. His eczema improved and the so called Doctor said that in a few years the parents should try and re introduce cows milk to his diet as its imporant for growing children to get the protein and calcium from it....urgh.

It seems to me they always advise people to cut out meat and dairy (they usually big up fish for its Omega 3 blahblah) but the facts are there...meat and dairy seem to be the problem with most illnesses people go on the show with...

^ Sounds annoying!

I watched the first series of Anger Management the other day. It was okay but nothing special. I did laugh a few times.

The US show with Charlie Sheen?

I watched all the episodes of HIMYM that were on Nerflix instant, then gave up on it. I like NPH, but there's only so much I'm willing to put into that show.
