TV & Film The TV Room

For those who are interested, the new season of Pit Bulls and Parolees begins on Saturday, October 6 at 10 pm on Animal Planet.

Oct 06, 10:00 pm
(60 minutes)
Pit Bulls and Parolees (Season 4)
New Orleans, Here We Come
TV-PG
It's a whole new world for Tia, her family, the parolees, and most importantly, her pitbulls, when they pack up their lives and move across country to New Orleans. But the move is only the first of many challenges Tia faces.

I'm watching Once Upon a Time and Dexter later and I watched the new Grimm and Fringe recently. I had no idea what was going on in Fringe, I don't remember the last episode of the old series.:iiam:

I watched True Lies last night, I love that film. I hadn't seen it in yonks.

So I watched the premiere of 666 Park Avenue last night...

...meh. Seemed a little juvenile, IMHO. Not sure I'll continue with it.

(I was going to post that it IS an ABC series and the gore and horror have to be toned down a bit for broadcast TV, but the people who give us Grimm on NBC I think do a much better job of creating a scary and stylish horror series...)

Well that's disappointing. I had totally forgotten it was on ABC. Yeah, that kinda kills my interest in it because I don't want to watch something that's toned down to be "safe" for tv. I think I'll just stick to American Horror Story and The Walking Dead for my gore and horror fix.

Glee.

Last night's episode of Grimm I thought was a little disappointing. The pacing was a little off, and there wasn't enough action for my liking. It didn't seem to move the series forward too much. I hope next week's episode is better.

girlfriend, not wife, and we in the US are still waiting for something really big to happen. I won't give anything more away

All I can say is the season (series) 2 episodes that aired before Friday's episode were all pretty kick-*** and IMO live up to the previous season's expectations, and judging by the preview that aired at the end of Friday's episode, the episode airing this coming Friday looks like a return to form, so don't get discouraged. :D

I keep hearing about homeland & how amazing it is.

I know!! It seems like no matter where you go someone is raving about . I watched the first two episodes because my brother insisted I watch it. I'll admit it was pretty good, but I'm not really interested in terrorist/gov't/war dramas. It reminded me somewhat of 24.

I haven't even tried watching Homeland. Everything I see Claire Danes in just makes me think of My So Called Life. Even in interviews, she still just sounds like Angela Chase.

I thought it might just be a personal bias, since MSCL was HUGE for me, but I asked my husband (who has seen MSCL, but it wasn't part of his formative years like it was for me), and he hears it too. She just sounds the same no matter what she does.

Oh I see. I've heard absolutely nothing about it but from your description or doesn't sound like my cup of tea either!

I am c crazy for Call the Midwife on PBS.
I watch a lot of Atenna TV. Love the oldies- Jack Benny, George and Gracie, Father Knows Best, Leave it to Beaver, Good Times, Alfred Hitchcock, The Monkees.
