Starbucks Vegan Drinks

I'm sad I missed the juniper drink from last year. I have a copycat recipe for the syrup, but don't feel like making it, even though I do have juniper berries.
If there's no whipped topping I don't want to buy a special coffee. The last time was at a Caribou coffee and I had white chocolate mocha. It definitely wasn't vegan, but that's my point, that's what I want, so no floofy coffee for me :pout:

I know there's cheaper vegan white chocolate chips, Walmart is supposed to have them, but they never do at mine-even got to go there for them
I found if you search something at Walmart they first show they have it, but it you refresh the screen, and play around, you find they do not.

Anyway, anyone know where I can get white chocolate at a decent price? Like no more than $4 for a bag of chips (I wanted to say 3 but I really want them!)

Just in time

I always thought the mocha sauce wasn't vegan. Good to know that it is. I would love a peppermint mocha. :) I usually just get a pump of peppermint syrup with a regular soy latte. It's tasty. There sauces and syrups are very sweet, so I always just get one pump when I get something flavored.

Totally agree—Starbucks can feel pricey, but customizing drinks with plant-based milk is a great way to keep things vegan and still enjoy it occasionally. Just like checking Starbucks My Schedule helps partners stay organized, knowing your drink options ahead of time makes ordering quicker and easier.

It's the whipped cream that is dairy. You could always order a plant pb milk coffee, add 1 or 2 squares of plain chocolate and a few drops of peppermint extract. At least you wouldn't have a sugar overload and end up broke! :D

I have actually not been to Starbucks in ages over how they have been dealing with employees who want to unionize…plus higher prices. 😁

I've only ever been 3 times to a Starbucks; in Pasadena, in Victoria BC and in Brighton. I didn't find that the coffee was that great and it's far too expensive. £5-£6 for a milk coffee is ridiculous.

I don't use Starbucks. And until the orange menace is gone I am among many who are boycotting US firms anyway (which
is a shame as I love a Californian Zinfandel and Lagunitas beer)
If I want a nice coffee I use Espresso House. They also do a very nice vegan blueberry pie (and can add soy based cream if you wish)

But I am more of a tea drinker anyway :) (English Breakfast Tea)

Yep, I agree with you @g0rph ,I’ve been boycotting American companies as well…
For my taste Starbucks makes a delicious coffee with either soya or oat mylk, but I haven’t had one since the orange menace took office…
I also decided to only support independent coffee shops… Coffee is expensive whether making it at home or in a cafe but occasionally I do treat myself to a coffee at one of the two local garden centres or at one of the many independent cafes in Cork city… Yesterday I was out for a coffee with a non Vegan friend and I suggested the Vegan cafe My Goodness in Cork city, she loved her oat mylk latte and enjoyed the charm of the place…

I used to enjoy Starbucks as a weekly(and slightly overpriced) treat. I started boycotting though once Starbucks Workers United went on strike and requested that people stop buying from Starbucks while they're striking. If you are still going to Starbucks and care about labor, you may want to consider doing the same. Our Fight - Starbucks Workers United

I also stopped saying "American".
I have a friend from Central America, and to him (and all of central and south America, "America" is the whole of the (to us) two continents. They regard it as one.
So I try to always say "US" or "USA".
i.e. You can be South American (Brazilian, Argentinian etc), North American (Canadian, US American, Mexican).
I won't give them the satisfaction of calling them by the name of the whole as though they were somehow special.

It may seem petty, but I guess it's a form of push-back.

As for the union stuff. As someone living in a civilised country it baffles me that people can't easily join a union. It's a legal right here.

Unfortunately corporations are powerful here, and the government does their bidding. It's practically legal to be fired for unionizing here, as long your employer doesn't explicitly say that it's why they let you go.

Yep, I completely agree with you @g0rph and I do Usually say US or USA… With the way things are currently in that country I am almost embarrassed to have been born there… I haven’t lived there regularly since 1987 and I too consider myself lucky to be living in a “civilised” country like Ireland or previously in France… The benefits of “socialised” medicine etc are Outstanding!
