Here is a little something I made this week. These are my go to bread when I make bread. Enjoy!

  1. 2 tsps yeast granules
  2. 1 Tbs sugar
  3. 1/2 cup warm to almost hot water
  4. 1/4 cup vegan margarine
  5. 1 cup of milk of your choice plus 4 TBS
  6. 1 tsp salt
  7. 3 cups spelt flour ( or wheat flour if you choose)
  8. Sesame seeds
Instructions
  1. Lightly grease 2 cookie sheets.
  2. Set oven to 220c
  3. Combine yeast and sugar and add warm water. Let it sit somewhere warm until it bubbles and froths.
  4. Melt margarine and add salt and milk warming but not boiling.
  5. Add the milk/butter mixture to 2 1/2 cups of flour and then add the yeast when it is ready. Mix it well for about a minute.
  6. Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and put the mixture in a warm place until it grows in size.
  7. Stir the mixture and add the rest of the flour.
  8. Knead for a few minutes until the mixture feels elastic.
  9. Make the mixture into rolls the size and shape you wish placing them on the cookie sheets.
  10. Allow to sit for a little longer and rise.
  11. Take a the extra milk and brush on rolls before they enter the oven.
  12. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  13. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes until the rolls sound hollow when tapped.
