Pea plants: Awesome flowers

Even though peas are usually pale yellow or green, the pea plant's flowers can be really bright:

Look at these Butterfly Pea flowers. You can use the flowers to make a Very Blue tea.

I think that the whole plant is poisonous - not that humans would be prone to eating the plants, but grazing and other animals can be poisoned.

I love sweet pea flowers, but haven't planted them because of this.

I used to toss a little pea vines in with my salads when I was working in specialty produce...I don't know what variety they were though.
