US New items at Trader Joe's

There can be those so poor, whether not fit to be at any work, or only getting low paying jobs, and ends cannot be met if they are going to pay for food, there is not enough income. And you may notice any food is more expensive than just a few years ago. They cannot go to Trader Joe's. So such without food choices cannot be vegan if they want to be. Food banks that help with food for those in need are not supplied generally to accommodate any who would want the vegan choices. People do need their own choices, and there should be food help that is at least mostly plant based.

I went specifically for more tempeh, harissa, and their pastas-the .99 cents a lb of orzo, butterfly, and the large size elbow. I was disappointed they were out of harissa. I've never had it, but need to try it.
So happy they had samples of the rosemary mixed nuts! I bought them before, but felt too cheap today. I remember the price was like 5.99, now they're 7.99! Now I have to check if I bought the sliced almonds I had in the cart...

I have tried tempeh. I liked using seitan more, and I continued with that. Now I am actually generally using jackfruit, now that I know where I will get it, and it would still be there. I wonder about getting enough variety, still. I do have a sandwich and a bean burrito each day generally, and they are basically the same. For cooked meals I alternate between potato, quinoa, and whole grain noodle. Is this enough variety, one cooked meal each day? I use vegetables cut up in them still, with the hummus, medium salsa, and seasonings.

I did make enough to get more variety yesterday, more than I previously have made in a meal. My cooked meal then had lasagna noodles in it, cut up potato, cut up delicata squash, lentils, bits of broccoli, cut up celery, shredded jackfruit, olives, cabbage, guacamole, hummus, Follow Your Heart dairy free cheese, medium salsa, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, ginger, turmeric, cumin, parsley, and Italian seasoning. I will still try including some more variety than I generally used before, this still was tops.img-bd60952e.jpeg

I will certainly be thinking of making a special meal for Christmas. Maybe others already have ideas while I haven't had one yet. It should be as good as that one I made last week.
