How do they practice something like this? What are the rewards given the obvious health effects it can cause?I actually have a person in competitive eating that I support somewhat.
Never had a problem with competitive eating in general though.
Karma... or hot dog... bites back?
Strange thing the eating contests, and I agree with shyvas.

I watched a segment on, I think, ESPN once, about competitive eater Takeru Kobayashi, who holds many records. I tried to find it on the Internet, but failed. When he's training, there's a restaurant in Japan that will bring him plates and plates of food until he says stop. How do they practice something like this? Kobayashi expands his stomach for a competition by eating larger and larger amounts of food, and then exercises to ensure that fat will not impede expansion of his stomach during a competition.
So do I whatever the reason whatever the food. Just a visual reminder of how those with too much food glamourise gluttony in an apparent fingers up to those that have too little.I honestly think eating contests are gross and disgusting.
