I do 1 tbsp of cocoa and 1 tsp sugar (I like mine really chocolatey, lol) and usually 8 ounces of nondairy milk.I have a hot chocolate mix from Coconut Cloud which is vegan and very good but it's pricey. To make homemade I follow a recipe from my mother which is 1 tbsp cocoa and 2 tbsp sugar in whatever milk you want. Probably 8-12 oz.
oh that is way different than what I do. and my could use some improvements. but I don't think I want to use so much sugar.I have a hot chocolate mix from Coconut Cloud which is vegan and very good but it's pricey. I did this a few times after going to the Lindt Chocolatier store at the outlets. They make their hot chocolate by melting their truffles in hot milk and my daughter says it is amazing. So I tried it with vegan dark chocolate and it was really good. Thanks for reminding me to do this. I think I'm going to do it today with my Chocolove chocolate bar.I'm not a fan of hot chocolate but the best one is made using chopped plain chocolate 70%-80% with half water/half plant based milk plus a dash of cream and a pinch of salt. Sweeten to taste if you like a sweet version.
