Good story.

On a semi-related note, here in the US, some farmers get a suicide hotline phone number with their subsidy checks. And I 'm not sure anything has passed yet but there are bills in both the US Congress and in many statehouses that will increase the funding for mental health services in rural communities. Not necessarily livestock-related but I am sure that dairy farmers are especially vulnerable.

Was this a dietary choice or a political choice? I think they made this choice out of political motivation which is fine, but I do not think their dietary choice will last because it was made under duress. Who knows?
