6 Vegetables You Should Always Buy Frozen

I do buy frozen spinach, mixed veggies, and sometimes brussel sprouts (I like them steamed well!).
I buy broccoli and cauliflower and peppers fresh. I don't even like frozen peppers, and cauliflower is just cheaper fresh here.
Aldi does have the best frozen broccoli, but I do prefer fresh
Oh, I expected peas and corn to be first on the list!

I too, buy fresh broccoli but I think I will buy some frozen just to that I don't run out. Peppers would also. be good idea cause I don't use them very often . I already buy cauliflower, peas, corn, and spinach frozen. Although when I go to the farmers market I like to buy fresh spinach and corn on the cob.

as most of you know I am huge proponent of frozen vegetables and also frozen fruit... I have frozen brussels sprouts, corn, peas, chopped green beans alone, at least 4 mixed vegetable combos, kale, bell pepper/onion combo, broccoli/cauliflower, mixed frozen berries (blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries), cranberries, pineapple, cherries.... I may have missed some.... :no_mouth:

Frozen vegetables are such a lifesaver! They’re often picked and frozen at peak ripeness, which locks in nutrients. Plus, they’re convenient and reduce food waste since they last so much longer than fresh. I always keep frozen peas, spinach, and broccoli on hand for quick meals! What’s your go-to frozen veggie?

Always frozen peas! And corn if not on the cob, and chopped spinach.
And the long beans from Trader Joes, but those are definitely an exception--I normally find frozen green beans not good

we chopped and froze cabbage a while ago and I just love grabbing a handful and putting it in my noodley soup - I would think that my freezer is, at least, half full of frozen veggies and fruit - I do buy lots of fresh however I would eat a lot less veggies if it weren't for the frozen ones of which I eat a pile (literally) - my honey laughs at my noodley soup bowl because it is a pasta bowl and the mountain of veggies rises at least two inches above it - that is just one square of ramen noodles, a handful of soycurls and the rest are veggies

Did you blanch it first, or just freeze it raw?

I have such trouble eating things I freeze, I can't seem to get into the habit. I eat stuff I buy frozen
Right now I have a serving of soup, a bag of mushrooms, and some crazy old kale in the freezer, and parsley that needs to be thrown away

nope, didn't do anything to it and it seems to be fine - because I cut it in 1 inch pieces it seems to have frozen evenly - almost done what I have so will have to buy another

I have been reusing my ziploc bags for years for storing them and finally caved about 2 months ago and bought the kind that zip across the top instead of trying to keep getting them to close by hand - wow, why I didn't do this years ago I don't know.

I do wash every ziploc I used and don't know when I last threw one out. Many of the bags come from the store, resealable too.
