I just had a Jonathan (19th- century variety) apple from the farmers' market. There's nothing wrong with cold-storage apples; that way, I can have locally grown fruit almost all year long. But fresh off the tree is a real seasonal treat.
Salad with spring mix, arugula, Red lentils, oives, vegan mayonnaise, spices, balsamic vinegar, and pepitas. Last little bit I put some triscuits. It was really good.
We had another dose of the local pizza parlor's vegan pickle pizza before it vanishes for another year. I wish they would keep it on the permanent menu, but it's apparently served as an effective "limited edition" item. Apart from that, I'm eating a lot of beans and apples.
