Whatcha Eatin?

Not jealous! :D
It's actually so good...because I added brown sugar and a bit of creamer. Even Fred likes it lol. I have to share whenever I make it.

I will, however, be hungry in two hours. I am off to the supermarket to see if they have any decent fruit. I need to start snacking on that instead of glazed cashews, chocolate covered cherries, and jelly candy lol.

I just cannot do savory oatmeal. I keep trying and I just don't enjoy it. So I need to accept that there are some things I just don't like, and that is OK. I am getting back on track so that is a plus.

I was also trying different varieties of overnight oats but those work for me either. It's OK every once in a while for something different. But it won't be a regular thing for me.

what are you calling "smeat"?. I wish I'd cooked beans today

smeat is a combination of a vegan ground meat of some brand (Gusta for us) combined with onions, jalapeno, spices and sometimes (most times) with a can of black beans added

I think it is a noodley soup day today, going to try to keep it to a dull roar as I don't have fresh cabbage or kale so lots of frozen veggies, soy curls etc

Ah, he still looks so 'kitten-y"

I have found I like some creamy in my oatmeal-I got the shelf stable oatmilk from Costco. They no longer have the reg soy milk, just vanilla. Their oatmilk is really good, creamy and a bit sweet.

I wanted to buy steel cut oats but had to settle for Bob's Red Mill old fashioned. I guess I'll have to order the steel cut from Amazon.
