Whatcha Eatin?

Lunch was a warmed up whole wheat pitta with Flora, Dijon mustard, sage & onion Richmond bangers plus a white cabbage slaw/vinaigrette and pumpkin seeds.

A small slice of Bosch fluffy carrot cake.

The food in the UK tastes so good and happily, I could bring quite a lot of goodies back with me.

back to my noodley soup today with my gochujang & miso base - still have lots of cabbage and kale and mushrooms so it will be awesome

Do you literally just put miso in water to make a base?...Like how I use better than bouillon in water to make a vegetable based broth? Or would I add miso to the veggie broth? 🤔 I have miso in my fridge and I never know how to use it.

I like to just use miso as broth--just like BTB. I like miso

Try mixing miso, nooch, vegan mayo, and a bit of dijon if you have it. I find that very cheese-like, and great over veggies or potato
Miso does last very very long in a covered container in fridge

yes, that is pretty much the only way I use it - I put a heaping teaspoon of miso and a heaping tablespoon of gochujang in the water and then add all my veggies to it

today is leftover steel cut oats/lentils day with added berries, banana etc

So turns out my miso expired in January lol. It was unopened and in the refrigerator. This is what it looks like. Is this normal? And can I still use it since it was unopened (assuming this is its normal color. 😁

My first miso I really never used and when I finally got around to it it was quite old, open but sealed in fridge. It was just fine
