I know aquariums and zoos are not ethical, but are there other places people might not be aware of? My town is having a halloween/lgbtq fundraiser event on a farm, and I wasn't sure about the ethics since I'd be paying for the ticket if I went. Features pumpkin decorating, corn maze, treats, watching animals in the pasture, etc the typical. Feels like I've been trying to be vegan for a while and I still have questions 😅

I think that's hard to say one way or the other - yes, on farms animal abuse happens, but if we only go to places where no animal abuse happens, then I'm afraid we can't go to supermarkets for shopping or to "normal" (i.e. non vegan) restaurants anymore.

So you have to find your personal position whether you think you can it is consistent with your conscience to go to a certain farm or not.

I didn’t know abour SPCAs having halloween events. That’s good to know. I did buy a ticket to the event on the farm, but i am going to avoid purchasing animal products from the farm itself. This event is part of my town’s LGBT organization, so they get part of the ticket sales which was mostly why I wanted to go.

I'd also participate. You may be against the farming, but for me, their support of human rights should be acknowled. I see it as hopefully a step

it was! I pet one of the cows. I felt so bad that the farm advertises raised beef and meat. Non-vegans tell me it's "part of life" and I don't agree. I hope someday, we will make more steps forward :)
