Music What are you listening to now?

The name of the beautiful piece is called, "My Foolish Heart". It's not the greatest recording, but it is a live recording from 1965.

This popped up and I don't know why but I listened, oh crap I thought it was someone had hacked my mind.

It's hard to let go of demons when they were the only ones standing with you when every one else left. They are still there waiting.

I did a sound workshop and a Soundbath with Maria Nayler a couple of weeks ago. She was very good, her voice is angelic to me.

Most recently: an octet for wind ensemble Opus 103) by Beethoven and a piano quintet (Opus 81) by Dvorak. Much as I love classical music, and even though these two composers are very well-known and popular, I hadn't heard either of these before.

I'm watching and listening to an on-line video of Anton Bruckner's Symphony #7, performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, with Sir Simon Rattle conducting. I first heard this performed within the past year (along with two other works by other composers), and finally got around to checking it out again. I remember I enjoyed the concert at the time. But I normally have to listen to something at least twice, and usually 3 times, before I can decide how much I like it. Right now, a melody from the second movement, which is playing now, sounds familiar... somewhat Wagnerian, maybe.

ETA: Ahh... they just started the 3rd movement, and that DEFINITELY sounds familiar. And Wagnerian: it reminds me of a melody from "The Flying Dutchman". I googled Bruckner a few minutes ago, and the article mentioned Wagner's influence on Bruckner. I like this piece, but I don't think it will become one of my top favorites.

I am listening to a live performance of Exit 59 by Dizgo. My nephew is into a bunch of jamtronica bands, and he got me into some of them, including Dizgo. I am really liking this genre of music.
