Vegan Cheese Options

I would like to share this resource with everyone, it has nearly 1000 vegan cheese options and the discovery tool can be used to filter and sort in many ways.

The hardest part for me transitioning to veganism 4 years ago was removing cheese from my diet, so I thought some could benefit from this discovery tool.

You can filter in many ways:

  1. By brand
  2. (base) main ingredient used as the base of the vegan cheese
  3. brand
  4. extra dietary requirements
  5. flavor
  6. location available
  7. flavoring
  8. ingredients composition, to show only whole food plant based cheese
  9. and texture
I hope it can help some of you find new favourites!
Occasionally, I’ll hanker for a cheezy garlic bread and these days I opt for the vegan alternative… I don’t know how they do it, but the vegan cheese is so tasty.

Marks and Spencer UK do a mature cheese slices. You don't need a whole one depending on what you are doing but I have got plant based babybel cheese portions at present from UK Sainsbury's. They come in bright green wax.

I'm just so over vegan cheese. There are some I really like, like Violife, and FYH slices--both are twice the price of their dairy counterparts, but neither come close to what I liked in dairy cheese. I had loved Daiya farmhouse blocks but they change up the formula randomly and last time I did not like it. It isn't as though the ingredients cost more, or the process. It's rare I buy any and that's more for the texture than taste.
I do culture soy yogurt and cashews cooked with tapioca starch-it's called 'mozzerella, but you know...isn't...but it's super good.
Tofu with herbs and marinade and tapicoa is a great topping for baked casseroles
olives work for me to replace blue cheese
and....I recently re-discovered that a undercooked pizza crust is surprisingly my favorite 'cheese'!

I like Alpro soya yoghurt. Mostly with fruit at present but also with Cheerios and a banana or Porridge oats soaked in oat milk with a banana and maybe a few grapes and dried cherries and blueberries from Holland and Barrett which are actually quite juicy.
