We had a fast moving thunderstorm move through but not before knocking down some trees...power went out at 9:30 last night. Still out at 3:30 am. It's hot without the fan going. But I managed a few hours sleep. I'm going to see if I can fall back to sleep for another hour or so.

Hazy out this morning probably partially due to fireworks smoke from last night as it did stop raining for people to be setting them off well into the night.

It is much cooler than predicted, only 27. It is meant to heat up over the next week again, ugh, I hate it when it is that hot.

@shyvas I've been remembering what winter is usually like in my area, with the short cold days, long colder nights, and ice underfoot. It helps me tolerate the heat/humidity somewhat a lot.

We have been getting daily rain which helps a bit with the heat. However the next few days, rain chances go down and temperatures go up. We will be under an extreme heat advisory.

I'm cancelling tonight as I feel too tired to go out.
