I haven't looked to see what the latest is on this one for our area. Apparently, it's going to be a doozy for the South, though.I NEED this big storm to come Sunday/Monday because my NY daughter has to go to Tampa for work. She's flying out Monday and then I have to sleep over to watch blackberry and I Don't WANT TOIF it snows, her flight will be canceled then she won't have to go lol. She's hoping for the same.
Yeah... I know better than to put any stock in anything that comes out now. Although, southern Connecticut weather is kind of on board too lol… And they never hype up anything this early. Of course they are saying that it is too early and anything can happen. I don't even need it to be a blizzard or anything… I just need enough for my daughter's flight to be canceled lol.
The biggest issue is that I have the kittens now. I'm upset that I have to leave them to take care of blackberry. If she was only going to be gone one night it wouldn't matter as much. He could stay alone. But he's going to need his meds and apparently I'm the only one who can give it to him. My kittens will likely be fine, but I'm going to be a nervous wreck. They still get into so much trouble and need a lot of supervision.
This was the temperature in my bedroom when I got out of bed this morning. 
@KLS52 Yep, I did see that DB is sort of on board, so I hope you get enough snow for the flight cancellation! I will probably stay at my mom's all weekend. We have a dominoes game on Friday and the big football game on Sunday (Patriots vs. Broncos), so it makes sense to stay over the weekend, which means I'll already be there for the storm, lol.
Smart idea. Plus I would think it makes it more fun when you have people to be snowed in with. Too bad my husband and son cannot be considered as fun… I wish I could come to your mom's and ride it out with you guys lol.

I hit "love" for riding it out with us! DB's first mention of totals is 10+ for the whole state, but I'm not buying it, lol.Smart idea. I'll be surprised if we even get 6 inches. One of the other weather forecasters posted this photo. I'm mad that I'm in the "potential" area. But at least I'm not in the lowest because that's usually where I am, so there is that.
We actually got two or three inches of snow last night. I was surprised as this little storm came out of nowhere. I think initially it was just supposed to be snow showers.

The weather here is insane! This weekend there will be near record heat with highs in the mid 80's. Then next week back to winter with 30 degree lows. My brother David went home to Ohio into the polar vortex last night. Jon and Marcy go back to Minnesota Monday where the windchills are going to be insane! Like 50 below zero!!
I'm so annoyed. All of the local weather people on Facebook are saying 8-10 inches for the shoreline with sleet likely mixed in. I just checked my Weather app on my phone and it has it downgraded significantly… 2 to 4 Sunday and another inch possible Saturday. What the actual fluff.

Im reading there will be an ice storm effecting the more Southern States ie Carolinas, Texas etc. It sounds pretty nasty. I looked at the weather map and bizarrely, Northern Canada is far warmer than the US. Even if you are not in those Southern states, take care as it could be pretty cold and icy. Dangerous and not good to drive anywhere.
The weather woman did say the snow would be fluffy.
It's 1 F here now. I wish I could send you our snow! I scheduled PTO for Monday just in case.
