The Weather.

Heavy rain here today. I was going to get my hair blow dried today, typically, as I'm going out tomorrow.

I am back from hanging with mom during the storm for the past four days. She probably would have been OK, but I think she was happy to have company (and someone to shovel out her car, lol).

Thank the maker that my neighbor plowed/shoveled/used the snowblower for most of my part of the driveway (we share a driveway). I'm sure we got close to 16 or 17 inches because I had my high boots on to trudge to the shed to get my shovel so that I could shovel out my walk and front/back steps. That was a chore, lol. Where my mom is, Charlestown, RI, they got about 14 inches, but the snow at my house is definitely deeper. My street isn't even all the way clear yet. This was a whopper!
I will add a few pics (in the pics of snow thread) from my window. I'm in for the day, lol.

We got a lot of snow here, too. I did some shoveling yesterday, and there was more to do today. But at least it was a fluffy, light snowfall. I get regular exercise year-round, and was able to handle it. I always hope that people ease into it, taking their time and frequent breaks if they need it.

I work out regularly as well, but I hadn't done much of that after being sick with the flu earlier this month, so I definitely took my time with this storm. I make sure I don't exert myself much at all. I go slowly and stop so as not to breathe heavily at all. I don't care how long it takes me. I did the same for my mom on Monday.

More rain! It's chilly and overcast. I will wait to change the stray cats' straw as it must be soaked. Poor things, there was one in each pod yesterday.

I was wondering where my gorgeous Kitty found shelter as it was such awful weather yesterday. I feel so sorry for them but there's nothing that I can do about it as cat houses are a no no in my residence.

They are trying to scare us with another "storm" for this weekend but I feel like this one is just being hyped up because there's a good chance it's going to go out to sea.

It was -4 when I left this morning, and 14 on the way home---but it was SUNNY! Such a difference!
We're just supposed to be cold, that storm should miss us. I just hope we can get some melting before the next snow

Right? It's annoying. Don't hype it if it doesn't have a realistic chance of happening.

Same here. Severely cold weather will continue, but snow and ice will be well to the south of where I am. It's a truly bizarre weather pattern: southern states normally don't have to deal with snow to any extent. I've noticed that The Weather Channel website is prone to sensationalize weather events, but it's hard to overstate what's happening now.

It looks quite sunny and bright today, but it is meant to be chilly and rain later.
