I'm watching the Good Karma Hospital on PBS Masterpiece. It's very good.
I don't know how you stand it. I can't bring myself to watch the Handmaids Tale. I don't doubt it's an excellent show and I would love to see Rory from Gilmore Girls. But I get aggravated enough just from real life goings on.I have started watching "The Testaments" which is the sequel to "The Handmaid's Tale." It takes place several years after and Gilead is still going strong. This is about the teen girls in Aunt Lydia's school. There is still the resistance and June makes an appearance.
Did you read the books? I find it interesting how the future is predicted by insightful writers. It should be a warning but seldom is.I do

No, I did not. I probably couldn't handle the books either lol.Did you read the books? I find it interesting how the future is predicted by insightful writers. It should be a warning but seldom is.
I really like all of Taylor Sheridan's shows but I understand that the violence and strong emotional content can be disturbing.I tried watching 1923...I got through the first two episodes...no can do.![]()
That sounds like a book I would like to read. I will see if my library system has it. I read quite a lot of apocalyptic novels.I also have a hard time with both books/shows - I read The Fifth Sacred Thing by Starhawk years ago (still actually own it) and it is about a post apocalyptic society which is divided into a patriarchal and a matriarchal one and the interactions between them. I have never ever forgotten the details and they still make me sad/worried/alert.

No luck on that book at my library. They do have a couple of other books by the author.
Thanks for the information. I very rarely buy books so I will probably skip that one as there are plenty of other books to read!I am not sure if you have the patience for it, however, it is available on archive dot org and there is a kindle edition on amazon, not cheap tho'.
