TV & Film The TV Room

Season two of "Fallout" is crazy! But then that whole show has been. Not at all familiar with the game so it's all new to me. The soundtrack is pretty awesome.

Has anyone watched the new Robin Hood series, with Sean Bean as Sheriff of Nottingham? It just finished season one. I really quite liked it. Sean Bean is a great sheriff. It's a bit of action and some romance. I like their choice of characters/actors - not your typical friar Tuck and little John, etc.

I have not seen this, but I love Sean Bean. He's a terrific actor.

I will have to watch that on Amazon. My network shows are coming back so lots of TV to watch.

^ I started that, but got bored a few episodes in.

I was just at the hairdressers and we were talking about TV and I asked her what she thought of the most recent Stranger Things. She said she didn't like it and was underwhelmed by the way it ended. She is going to be 30 this year.

I think I would have liked "Stranger Things", but I stopped watching anything when over-the-air programming went digital. I remember the moment: I was watching a sporting event- some sort of foot race- and suddenly: a screen of snow. I can't even remember why I was watching that- the Olympics are normally the only sporting event for which I have any interest.

the second season of Patience on PBS is out now.
I really liked the first season - but it was just like 4 episodes.
I've only watched a couple episodes of the second season but it's not as good. The mysteries aren't as good and also the character interactions and development seems to have gone downhill.

But I do recommend whole heartedly the first couple episodes of S!.

Finished "All Her Fault". It was a pretty good really twisty thriller over all. There were a couple of middle episodes that focused on the VERY f*cked up people in this story! It slowed down the action but was needed for backstory. When visual arts attempt to translate books, it can be tricky. The twists were good.

I enjoyed that show (I love Treat Williams). It took a little to get going, but I thought it was a decent series. The first two seasons were really good, the last two were OK. But I wanted to finish it, so I binged it a few years ago. It featured Chris Pratt and Emily VanCamp before they were household names.

I watched that series when it was on and I did enjoy it. I didn't remember Chris Pratt being in it. I may have to watch it again at some point but there are too many new shows to go back in time. LOL

Veronica Mars in on Netflix!

I didnt' watch that show in real time. It was on at the same time as Lost and my VCR could only record one show at a time.
Years later I got the DVDs out of the library and watched them all. And then I went and saw the movie. And when it came to Hulu I watched it again including the new episodes. So yeah, I'm a marshmallow.

I still think it's the best Teen Drama ever. Even better than Buffy.
and it seems to have aged well. Some of the topical humor doesn't work anymore but I'm not sure I got those "In" jokes back in the day, either.

Dark humor, puns, social commentary, suspense, mystery, romance. Along with character development and sunny California locations.

We watched the end of Tulsa King last night, there is a spin-off starring Samuel L Jackson that we will probably watch when it comes out.
