TV & Film The TV Room

So super ****** off because I went to watch the last episode of GoT on skygo & THEY'VE TAKEN IT OFF. The whole series...& the first episodes of season 3.

>.<

So I watched the first episode of Hannibal which was weird.

I am trying to catch up with CSI as I stopped watching it a while ago.

I also saw that Twister is on TV now so I am watching that for about the fourteenth time.

Why did they take it off?

I have no idea! I assume they had it for a limited amount of time, which is fine...but you've got to make it clear when the time is up BEFORE yiu take it down if you're doing that. Grrr.

So I'd say that the second episode of Family Tools (a new sitcom on ABC) was definitely better than the pilot episode. I think I'll keep watching and see if things continue to improve.

Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell airs tonight on FX for the first time since the last time.

That's why these days I hesitate to commit myself to new shows, because they often get yanked once I'm emotionally invested in them.

Of course, the consequence is that when a series that I avoid becomes a bonafide hit instead, it catches me off guard and I have NO idea what everyone is talking about because it's become a national obsession, and I haven't seen a single second of it. :fp:

Lost
Downton Abbey
Walking Dead
Doctor Who
Game of Thrones

etc.

I just watched the season finale of Kitchen Nightmares. The owners of the restaurant Gordon Ramsey tried to help were so awful he didn't even bother. He just got in his car and left. He said it was the first time he'd ever done that, and even if he did try to help, these people were so arrogant, so delusional, so crazy, they wouldn't have stuck to his ideas anyway.

So after that, I checked out the restaurant on Yelp, and was surprised to see that it was still open. If there ever was a restaurant that was destined to close, I figured it was that one. A lot of restaurants GR tried to help ended up closing. But not this one. Yet.

And I noticed that most of the reviews on Yelp seemed to be from people who were never actually there but created an account on Yelp just to trash the place and the owner after seeing the episode. I was tempted to do the same, but decided to skip it.

They'll probably get a short surge of new customers wanting to see if they are as awful in person as on TV.

Ack! It's been cancelled! Damn they work fast. Only 2 episodes were aired. I don't know if they'll air the remaining 8 episodes, but since it's been cancelled, I'm not sure I'll watch even if they do.

Urgh, I missed last night's Doctor Who, so I have to wait for it to show up on demand. Efforts to find it on the internet are futile.

Just use a proxy that shows your location in the UK. Then go to bbc.co.uk and you can watch it on iPlayer.

I use Expat Shield, works like a charm.

I hope it isn't against forum rules to post this.
