I forgot about this thread...I just posted a memory in the memorial thread. I think I will delete that and post it here. Sorry if it triggered anyone. ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹

This might be a bit off-topic, but I haven't had any losses of animal companions lately, so it really doesn't belong in the Memorial thread: For quite a few years, there was a message board at www.petloss.com , where people could post about companion animals who have passed on. That website was sort of a combination of our "Memorial" and "Good Memories" threads here- but it had some other features, such as a section where people could find homes for animals needing one, and/or arrange transportation for that. There were also "off-topic" threads where people who had gotten to know each other could socialize on-line.

It wasn't unusual for members of that website to post (or add to) memorial threads, even quite some time after their animal companions had passed. I sometimes submitted posts like the ones in this thread, and responded to others doing the same. But evidently, that website changed management a few months ago, and my old username and password don't work there anymore. I was only a member for about 4 years, so I think I'll let it go.

@KLS52 Yes- that's the website! People could go on-line to do that together in the website chat room if they wished. Some of us did it with a lamp instead of a candle. Once a month, a version of it was also done on Sunday afternoon (Eastern time); I think that was partly for people in other time zones, or who had difficulty doing it on Monday night for other reasons.

@KLS52 That top photo from your post #162, above, always cracks me up. Their expression is like they think they've been caught doing something wrong.

Sometime within the past year, I had a vivid dream about my family's cat (Peasant)... I don't know where we were in the dream, but I picked her up and could FEEL her in my arms. I think I might have heard her purring, too; I had a nice feeling when I woke up.

@Raven I don't have a computer of my own, but at my job, there was a computer at everyone's workstation. Of course, I was not permitted to install any software on it- that was the IT Division's job- but we could have our own wallpaper image on the screen. I digitized images of my animals (past and present at that time), and I saw it at the start of every workday.

I dithered about where to put this digitized photo- here, or in the "Pictures Of Your Animal Family" thread- and decided to put it here. I also took some time deciding which one to post. Here's an OLD photo of Peasant- I figured a B&W photo wouldn't use so much memory. The "gray" fur is orange:

I had a dream about my dog that died in 2021 and my cat that died in 2018 (?) and they were very vivid. I wonder if my cat dying recently means they are all together again in heaven/afterlife. I hope so.
