Health Issues The Everything Covid 19 Thread

This whole hysteria regarding this virus is getting more and more ridiculous, governments jump at opportunity at power grab to the point of totalitarian control over citizens. It got to the point that damage of restrictions and policy caused to fight virus likely by huge margin exceeds damage virus has capacity to inflict. Someone should give governments a memo this isn't highly-lethal virus with capacity bring civilization down only a virus, that is a threat to overwhelmingly for people with weak immune systems. Instead targeting such people and advising to take precautions, those donkeys at least in some cases highly cripple trade, production, services (in some quite a bit of cases resulting in people losing jobs) and take away some basic liberties from people over such triviality that could have been handled with far less effort and damage inflicted to society. It's closely approaching analogy of burning your house down to kill a spider, it's just amusing how ridiculous reaction to it is, aside of being highly annoying.

Oh, the power grab is more than just individual governments, it's the high financiers of the world that are calling for world government now to tackle the "pandemic". Look here: The CORONAVIRUS "CRISIS" - as reported in the press - Page 2 - Cluesforum—Exposing Mass Deception

and then click the link at the bottom: Ex-UK PM Gordon Brown calls for global government to tackle coronavirus pandemic – Government & civil service news

Sadly, I suspect most of the contributors to this thread, frightened and hypnotized by the fear porn on the MSM they so trust, will just willingly go along with it.

I agree but I hope you still followed the social distancing protocol! :)

They were socialising and also practising physical distancing. :innocent:

This reminds me of an interview I saw on a UK news channel (GMB) this morning. A couple who had met on an online dating site got to know
each other over only via the (including one 11 hour chat) internet channels. They said that they were eager to meet in rl once the lockdown is over.

The American Medical Association has weighed in on the administration's health care package: The Allergists were in favor of scratching it, but the Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves. The Gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it, but the Neurologists thought the Administration had a lot of nerve. Meanwhile, Obstetricians felt certain everyone was laboring under a misconception, while the Ophthalmologists considered the idea shortsighted. Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!" while the Pediatricians said, "Oh, grow up!” The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the Radiologists could see right through it. Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing and the Internists claimed it would indeed be a bitter pill to swallow. The Plastic Surgeons opined that this proposal would "put a whole new face on the matter.” The Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but the Urologists were ****** off at the whole idea. Anesthesiologists thought the whole idea was a gas, and those lofty Cardiologists didn’t have the heart to say no. In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the assholes in Washington.

It's said that those who are born now, will be called quaranteens in 2033.

Here is something uplifting:

Yea, they've been pretty lazy about naming the past few generations (Gen X, Gen Y, etc)

Millennial is more descriptive , but clearly not too much effort was put into coming up with that one either.

In her last video, Azura said that social distancing is incorrect term. Physical distancing would be more accurate.
And I agree 100%
I probably have never in my life been as social as during this crisis.

Yeah, it's creative.
But it's also kinda sad.
This pandemic looms over their heads throughout all of their lives.

There have been detected 601 new cases of covid in Russia (info by 10.50a.m.). I guess, tomorrow there will be more. But 601 is waaay less than yesterday (170 less). *fingers crossed*.
448 new cases in Moscow, which sadly has become a Petri dish for covid. 34 new cases in Moscow area. Only 9 new cases in SPb, which is quite optimistic. What is NOT optimistic, - is that it's 10(!) more cases in SPb area.:hmm: The question is: where are these infected people?? (We live "in the area" too, and i dislike the thought that we have no idea how many infected people live side by side with us).
4 more people died, which is less than previously, and no one died in SPb in the last 24 hrs.

Went for groceries again today, and is such a weird feeling... Felt like a criminal fugitive when in reality I was buying celery, potatoes, Carrots etc...

Drove past a few supermarkets as some of them had ridiculous queues... Turns out everyone had the same idea to go there as soon as it opened as me....

Main shortages at the moment are disenfectant, soap, wipes and flour.

My new supervisors sister is a home health care aide, and the woman she cared for tested positive and hospitalized. His sister, husband, two kids are all under quarrentine for 14 days, but without symptoms, won't be tested.
So many people have been oddly sick at work this year. Other than the beginning of 2018, when almost all of use got the flu, I've never seen so many take days off. Worse, they came back, then out again.
I personally don't know anyone who was tested, most had 'face time' doctors visits.
I know many with family who work in hospitals, and home care, and they've been terribly overwhelmed, and very very angry at the slow response of this country. Ohio has been much better off with our governor. I give him so much credit!

I'm so grateful for Aldi as I can whip down the aisles, grab the same things I always get there, knowing exactly where they are, and get out very quickly. Besides the two aisles of specials, everything is sparse and always in the same place. Checkout is always swift, and you can take the cart to your car to pack your own stuff.
Last time I went to the discount store I usually shop I got such anxiety from all the extras, all the people, and just the size and slowness of the line. Not again for a very long time!

I feel like a damned criminal just walking down the street, and frankly, it's starting to **** me off.

@Nekodaiden - I don't know what it is exactly, but I just know there is a lot more going on that what we're being fed (and it's not sitting well with me at all).

My sister is a home healthcare aide with just one elderly lady client. The lady is very unhappy to be confined at home as she is very independent and still drives herself around! Lynda (my sister) is only there 3 days a week for 4 hours a day so who knows what the lady is doing on the other days! Lynda was given a mask by her employer.
Kevin, my neighbor/friend is an ICU nurse. The hospital he is at is a trauma center and he said there has been a lot less trauma "business" lately. Less people getting in accidents! He said they have had lots of people tested for covid but only have a couple of actual positive cases.

I was keen to get home... The cop cars look ominous with this, they are driving around here and there looking for people breaking the lockdown rules.

At the best of times I don't enjoy shopping where I live, too many weird people around, some unhinged... Right now some are weirder though others acting more subdued...
