Dogs...gotta love them. My latest rescue, who is 10 and spent his whole life chained up outside, is revelling in his new indoor life. He's discovered toys and is obsessed with them and likes to sleep curled up next to me on my bed. Unfortunately yesterday he discovered squeaky sheep at 3am and squeaked for about 5 minutes before I'd had enough and grabbed said sheep and hurled it away. Poor dog then spent several minutes staring at the ceiling, convinced that sheep was going to descend from above as that was the last place he'd seen it as it sailed over his head. Eventually with a lot of strokes and tickles he settled again and dozed off. We're all a little bleary-eyed this morning but I wouldn't have it any other way.

My pal's two vegan irish hound dogs who live in Saltdean (near Brighton) that will be travelling from Sussex to
the Algarve on Friday. It's only a 25 hour long drive. She is also taking her two cats with her.

Avian flu has mutated and now infects dogs.. In the midwest of the US they are having an outbreak. and from dogs it's just a hop, skip, and a jump till it can infect humans.

Nooo.
That sucks.

I hadn't heard anything recently so I googled the dog flu.
Turns out it's still going on and some Vets and shelters have closed down cause of outbreaks.
But there is a vaccine now. tho its in short supply
