he thinks it's fear of being a bad person; I think maybe it is fear of death.....meat represents the process of transforming a living being into a lump of meat....laughing off meats like bacon, is laughing in the face of death, maybe..
My friends/family jump at every opportunity to tell other people that I'm vegan, like they are bragging about me. It's kind of cool, even though I'm not, technically, vegan and prefer to not use the label. It does make it easier for identification purposes.I was pleasantly surprised, when it came out on a non-vegan facebook group that I am vegan, I was actually praised for it. I really never expected that.

Probably laziness.I see so many debates about the degrees of vegan-ness and it's so hard for me to be perfect. I can't always find whole wheat bread without honey. Occasionally, if I'm away from home, I'll opt for the veggie burger which may or may not have egg in it. Instances like that. I'm really uncomfortable asking questions to the server so I go with the best option on the menu.
When I prepare my own food at home it's easy. I prefer to not call myself vegan around others (like veggie forums [emoji4]) who clearly are, out of respect. I am oh so close, and for now, as much as I covet the label, I'm doing the best I can, for me, under any given circumstance.
And then there's the whole non-diet side to it. Again, I make conscious vegan choices as much as possible.
I guess I admire those people who are so good at it and I don't know if I will ever get there but I keep trying. Hope this makes sense, lol.
