Actually, I made a mistake. I became vegan in 1983. I became lacto-vegetraian in 1982 as well as stopped wearing animals and stop buying things tested on animals. A year later in 1983, I stopped eating dairy and became vegan.

Yes, Indian Summer, veganism was quite a challenge as the alternative cheese back them didn't melt! lol It was awful. There was basically just soy milk, but now there are a dozen or so alt. milks to choose from. Most alt meats were in a can.

What huge progress we've made in vegan food choices.
