Is PETA actually cruel to pets?

So, I heard that PETA is a big organization that claims to be all for animal rights and veganism, but is also against people having pets because having pets is animal exploitation and has abducted them to murder them even when they're perfectly healthy. I think that's disgusting! Is this actually true?!

not entirely. They don't promote having animals. But since almost all PETA members already have pets it's not a popular stance even among leadership or members.
They do promote the that pets should be cared for. And PETA recognizes that adopting an animal from a shelter and then providing for it for its live is a huge act of compassion.
