Nutrition & Diet Has anyone tried red palm oil?

My boss bought a case of red palm oil for her parrots. But she decided she didn't like it after all and has given me a bottle of it to try. And if I like it, she wants to give me the rest of the case.

I know there is some controversy over the use of palm oil, but I didn't buy it, it is vegan and I would hate for it to go to waste.

Has anyone cooked with it before? I read that it has a really strong flavor and I noticed it has a really strong smell as well. What types of things go best with the flavor of the oil?
