Gardening-Related Saving Tips

I live in the middle of a desert. I will not even attempt to garden here. The water bill would be way too high.

I like the act of gardening. Actually eating the food would be a secondary concern to me. I would grow fruits like strawberries & raspberries and make my own wine. I might also grow some tobacco and smoke it myself. (I rarely smoke and drink in real life.)

Look up "xeriscaping" - gardening with minimal water. There are edible plants that barely need water. Prickly pear cactus is a good example.

You can also do a lot indoors. You can use hanging containers to save space, and get an artificial light source if the windows won't let in enough light.

All that gear that's marketed for growing weed in basements can be used to grow food too.
