I doubt Las Vegas will be next. If Las Vegas continues to diversify its entertainment offerings as it has been doing in the past couple of decades, enough people will continue to visit the city and spend their cash there. If Atlantic City wants to save itself, it had better follow Vegas' example.

So many places allow gambling now, game changer. It used to be that Atlantic City was the only east coast place to go; not any more.
Vegas has been smart with continuous upgrading and good advertising, I think they'll survive. People seem to.like gambling, mystery to me.

^^^ It baffles me, as well. I took a trip to Niagara Falls maybe 15 years ago and strolled over to the Canadian side one evening, where they have lots of gambling. The glitzy Vegas-like atmosphere was interesting while the novelty lasted, but I felt no desire to get rid of my money. (Actually, I've never been to Vegas, but the casinos were like I imagine Vegas to be.)

It was fun to go when I was a teenager, seeing how much gambling you could get away with before getting caught. But as an adult, I find gambling incredibly boring. It's been about 25 years since the last time I was there, but I wouldn't mind a quick overnight trip. I'd like to see all the new hotels and maybe a show.
