Christmas Countdown & Everything Thread

I bought vital wheat gluten, for the first time, yesterday as I am going to try to make my own turrkey this year as I refuse to buy Gardein and can't picture not having it for Christmas. I am going to follow Simnett Nutrition which he put out on Sunday and I also have another youtuber who has made something similar.

Here are my Christmas decorations.

This is actually a garden flag that I bought on clearance last year not realizing how huge it was. It makes a nice door decoration.

I found this at TJ Maxx last year and had to have it. Bonus pics of Colin and Haley when they were little and a cardinal decoration I got at craft fair. And a cute little girl at the beach which is a print from a local artist I got at an art show.

And my little tree and snow globes.

Everything looks great, Chryssie! Cardinals are so pretty! I've yet to put out anything. I have been in a blah kind of mood. Missing my Pops and my friend Rose. But I will get them up.
Christmas feels weird this year for me for some reason… it's the first time in my entire life that I can remember not really feeling the spirit.

That is unusual for you! You are like the most Christmas-loving person I know. 🎄🎄🎄I'm sorry you're not feeling it this year. I did finally make the dough for sugar cookies, and it is now in the fridge. I will bake them later.

I'd like to try this but it's £7 when all their other trifles are £3.30. I find that a bit insulting.

I had an Aldi Carrot, beetroot and broccoli rosti for dinner tonight. I feel sorry for anyone that ends up with one on their xmas dinner plate.

It is a bit of a cheek how much it costs. I couldn’t find it online or in the store near me anyway.😢

I have my fourth apple pie of the holiday season in the oven. :) I'm going to make my dinner tomorrow to bring to my stepsister's. I plan to make chickpea cutlets and a slew of roasted veggies.

Merry Christmas Eve to everyone (who celebrates). :)

I can't get into making or baking anything. I don't know what's wrong with me. I think it's the cleaning up part that I dread lol.

I promised my granddaughter peanut butter balls. I can't even muster up the ambition for that but I'm going to have to do it. Maybe if I at least take the Earth balance out of the fridge to soften… Then every time I walk in the kitchen it will be a reminder.
