TV & Film Celebrity Encounters

I saw a program on the BBC a while back, about how the autograph industry is awash with fake autographs. I think this may be one of the reasons that celebs wouldn't want to sign anything.

There was this one guy who had thousands of signed photos, all over his house, and this expert basically said that all the ones he could see were fake.

I've read that some celebrities will just have their assistants autograph their pictures for fans.

OMG she was on Glee!? Did she meet any of the cast!?

I asked her and she said it was a huge call and there were too many people there, so she didn't get a chance to talk to any of them. She said Chris Colfer seemed to be the nicest and most down to earth though. He would goof around and have fun between takes.

I met Camryn Manheim at a Mother's Day event yesterday. She was very nice and down to earth. When she won her Emmy for The Practice, it was noted by some that she was wearing shoes from Payless (as opposed to, say, $900 designer shoes). Well, yesterday, when my mother complimented her on her beautiful top, she said "I'm almost embarrassed to admit it came from Sears!" In other words, a working actress and a regular, normal person like the rest of us, not a "celebrity" in the more contemptuous sense of the word. But I thought I'd post this here anyway. :p

(She was wearing jeans with that beautiful top, too.)

Oh very cool! Did you get pics with her? I remember the big hoopla over her Payless shoes. It's so nice to hear that she's down to earth, nice, and not celeb snob.

Will Smith has been visiting London and it reminded me that I have seen him too.:p

I also have met some TV presenters, older Brits might know these ones, Floella Benjamin, Andi Peters and Simon Parkin.:D

I found out the other day that one of my family members dated Sade. Sade Adu - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm jealous! I have always had a crush on the Fresh Prince!

Yeah, he is hot. I like the way Will Smith visits schools and meets up with young people when he is over in the UK as he thinks it's important for young people to have positive role models.:)

Impressive, not only does she have an amazing voice, but she is quite beautiful.

I can't believe he didn't tell me at the time. I think he thought I would tell my friends at school...which I would have done.:p
