I have just been diagnosed with osteopenia following a wrist fracture. The specialist nurse recommended that I take a non-vegan vitamin D3 and calcium supplement as the only vegan vitamin D supplements contain vitamin D2 which is inferior. After talking to her I researched vegan bone supplements and found plenty with vitamin D3 in. Does anyone else take vegan supplements for osteopenia and which ones would you recommend? (UK based please)

I'd like to hear actual testimonials from vegan D3--those who've had problems keeping their levels up even with high doses of D3
After taking lanolin D3 for the past year 5000 IU almost every day, I still tested at 20. I know when I switched to a cheaper brand once I was well aware it was bad and went back to the tested one! I've gone through bone pain in my ankles that taking d has resolved
Is Lichen D3 really as effective as from animal wool sources? I know it's far more available now, and even in 5000 IU caps

That;s a multi vitamin though
Yes but I still think it is a good suggestion/option.

I can't find any sources with google that show Vegan D3 to be as effective as regular D3. I think there are some but I can't get to them.

But I would think that is a safe assumption.

How about this one?

or this one

l think I'm sold on trying this one- I like sublinguals The reviews don't even much alude to it's being vegan. I want stock in algae!

oh! I didn't know it came from algae. I thought it came from lichen. Is this a new development?
Anyway it looks like a good idea
