I got a postcard through the door today... There's a company called Abel & Cole, and they deliver fresh food boxes to your house every week. Everything is organic, and you can either choose what you want or just get a seasonal box (minus anything you dislike). I'm gonna give it a go; I only get a big food shop every few weeks, and sometimes find I'm lacking somewhat on the vegetable front, so these boxes should be quite good for me.

When you sign up, you can tell them you're vegetarian/vegan, so they don't send you any freebies you can't use. You can also filter your searches by those terms. So far, it looks pretty good!

They have a promotion at the moment where you can get a free recipe book, and your 4th box for free - enter the code HELLO at the checkout.

I've had my first box, and I am impressed so far. The veg was fresh and tasty, and they have notes on all the packacging telling you to give the boxes back because they recycle them. The cookbook is a handy guide to just about every fruit and vegetable they send - supplied me with a good kale recipe 'cos I wasn't sure what to do with the leftover bits. This week, they're sending me a free loaf of fresh bread - they gave me a choice of three free products (all vegan).

I used to get a fruit and veg box from Farmaround and it was lovely but I found it annoying having to stay in to have it delivered as I haven't anywhere safe for them to keep it if I was out.

Yeah, that would be an issue for me if boyfriend wasn't working from home. Although the first one came at the perfect time - 20 mins before I left for work - so that wasn't an issue at all :)
