I go back and forth with this one between my high-powered blender (we have a Blendtec) or my Cuisinart food processor.

I use the blender several times a week. But I love my Cuisinart since it's great for making homemade nut butters, banana ice cream, energy balls, etc.

I have several favorite appliances. A vacuum sealer is one heck of a useful kitchen tool, and right up there in favs. I also love my mandoline slicer. I probably use that more than any other kitchen tool. It would be a toss up between that and my blender. I have a Vitamix blender, and a Braun processor. They both work for my needs.

I got a little rocket blender last xmas. I use it a few times a week to make smoothies. I don't think i have taken out my full size blender more than a few times since.

I have a machine that makes "ice cream" out of most fruits. It is so cool! It was a gift, and it is very fun to use.

I have had the same Kitchen Aid stand mixer for more than 20 years. I love it, though it's starting to complain a bit now. With a hook, it does a good job of kneading whole-grain bread dough. It handles my whole-grain seed-heavy cookies with ease.

A small blender I use every single day to crush seeds/make flour/mix various ingredients to make shakes, nut milks, mix spices/seeds etc.

I don't know what I'd do with out it. I have a mortar and pestle...oh the horror, lol!

I saw this ad after a YouTube video.
I know a few of you have vacuum sealers. you think I should get this one.
I've never had one but this one is tempting.

I guess if that one looks adequate for your needs. It looks a bit limited by the type of bags it uses. The main advantage is that it's small and would fit in a drawer quite conveniently. I like the Food Saver one, myself, despite being larger. The bags are cheap to buy on Amazon. I've had my same unit for almost 20 years now.

@Lou--I bought a food saver from Amazon for under 20. I've been stocking up and wanted some long term storage, and this works really well. It came with both bags and rolls, as well as a 'straw' attachment to use on --not sure actually, I haven't read about it
Those bags look pricey and not sure how much I'd want to reuse them
Oh---I got it for $19. it's gone up!

number one thing I like about the Chef Preserve is that the bags are reusable.
number two is that I can put it on a shelf or in a drawer.

however after a little bit of more research, I've discover there are a bunch of similar products available.

and Temu has it for less money - but it comes with fewer bags

Well, as I previously mentioned, the size of the unit was a definite advantage if you are limited for counter space.

FYI, the bags for the foodsaver are also reusable. However, they're cheap enough that I don't really have to. I will reuse them if not soiled too badly. A tomato based sauce would be a definite throw away after usage.

Furthermore, you can cut the bags at the seal and then again re-seal them over and over. It's handy for things you use occasionally, but would spoil otherwise. It's great for leftovers. I often freeze sauces in a container first then toss them into a vacuum bag for long term storage.

Also, I buy generic bags on Amazon that are way cheaper than their own brand, and they work just as well.

The foodsaver also comes with rolls of bags, which you can cut into longer sizes, as per needed. It also has large size bags, which are wider than the traditional quart sized bags. The hose that silva mentioned is for foodsaver containers. The attachment fits on top of the lid of the container and keeps items like coffee fresh for a very long time.

I've used my foodsaver for packing items like socks, for hiking trips. It could also be used to compact clothing for travel, making it much smaller and also waterproof. They have way more uses than just for food.

Of all the kitchen tools I have, this one I feel truly deserves the counter space. I hope this helps.

I use my immersion blender a lot, just used it to blend beans I half cooked a bit before adding the veggies for a chowder
Perfect for vegan mayo
Dahls, dips, tofu......
I find the one with the flat head works far better than the 'cup' styles

I also like the cheap milk frother battery whisk for things like miso, or any paste in water

Electric kettle

I know I'd classify as 'small', but love my Instant Pot, Kitchenaide mixer, VItamix, and microwave. My son uses the air fryer, I could do without.
