Have any of you seen the movie/video "COWspiracy"? When I saw it a couple of years ago, I was already a vegetarian, and bought from locally owned farms who were allegedly good to their animals. But the movie is a documentary, and proves that raising animals for food is the NUMBER ONE CAUSE OF environmental pollution, water pollution, deforestation...more than all the forms of transportation combined. After watching the first 10 minutes of this movie, I immediately stopped eating animal products. I finished up the eggs, yogurt and cheese in my frig, then it was all over!!!! I eat at vegan restaurants or ones that have vegan options.
The movie says that even local farms who raise animals for food are part of the severe problem; just not in the volume as factory farms.
The movie makers say they cannot understand why environmental organizations do not address this severe issue!
None of my friends want to see this movie!!!!!! These people are progressives who allegedly want protect the environment.
